Part 1 can be found HERE.
- What was your first alcoholic drink? – Stolen sips of my dad’s beer
- What was your first job? – Washing dishes at a buffet-style restaurant.
- What was your first car? – 1964 AMC Rambler Classic. I’d love to find one to restore someday. That was a SOLID car.
- What was your first mobile phone? – a basic cell phone with Sprint in 1999.
- What is your first proper memory? – Going to daycare when my family lived in Salem, OR. Based on my memories of the house we lived in then, I was younger than four.
- Who was your first teacher? – My kindergarten teacher in Salem was Mrs. Stratton.
- Which fictional character do you wish was real? – Ironman
- Where did you go on your first ride on an airplane? – My wife (at the time) and I flew from Seattle to Boise to go to her grandmother’s funeral.
- Who was your first best friend? – a boy named Kevin who lived “next door” when I was a kid. In Eastern Oregon, “next door” means, across a field.
- What was your first detention for? – I don’t remember.
- What's your strongest sense? – my Bullshit detector.
- Who was your first kiss? – My ex-wife
- What was the first film you remember seeing at the cinema? – Star Wars, Ep. IV
- What's the largest amount of money you've ever won? – $1200 from an exceptionally lucky night on the slots at the local casino.
- What's the largest amount of money you've spent in one spree? – $500, I was able to get my kids things they actually wanted for Christmas one year… because of that lucky night at the casino.
- If you had a warning label, what would yours say? – WARNING: Doesn’t tolerate dishonesty or ignorance well.
- Have you ever got sweet revenge on anyone? – Living well is the best revenge. I personally am counting on KARMA to take care of things.
- Have you ever been to a live concert? – Yes, both big stadium rock spectaculars and small intimate venues. Honestly, I prefer a local band or artists in a coffeeshop.
- Have you ever been to see stand up comedy? – Same as the previous answer… I’ve seen Bill Cosby, Louis CK and Jeff Dunham…. but small time comedians who do the circuit of clubs in Indian Casinos and other small time clubs can be just as hilarious. I really want to see Ron White and Larry The Cable Guy someday.
- Have you ever needed stitches? – Yes… I was in a car accident in 2005 where I needed to have my right ear re-attached. (I've got pictures if you want to see them). And, as mentioned elsewhere in this blog… I am having surgery on 10/28.
There was a girl in college whose dad fixed up a Rambler for her. She felt so inferior to the other girls with cars. She indeed had the coolest car in the lot in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteMy high school bestie had a Rambler. We rode around in it and had crazy adventures.
ReplyDeleteI have many good memories involving that car... some of which were "crazy adventures".
DeleteMy husband had a 1963 Rambler that he kept with us for years, long after it stopped working. (The clock always worked)
